The Living House

The Living House is a new project that brings together over ten years of our research into the domestic space in Belfast. From the initial Household Festivals, which took place in people’s homes in 2012 and 2013, to our upcoming series of ‘Kitchen Table Conversations’, we have been gathering an archive of research into art activity situated within the domestic space.

Over the next few years, we will work with local and international partners to develop a new artist residency space in Belfast that will include stay/work spaces for artists, an archive of research on the domestic space, and will exist as an evolving collective artwork with ongoing commissions from the artists who inhabit it.

The Living House will be accompanied by a programme of residencies, events and commissions that connect our selected artists to people and place in the city.
