Wood Workshops: design and make a market stall

On Sunday 12th August, Sailortown will have its first Belfast Barra Community Market. The market will feature stalls with information, film screenings, performances, music, kids activities, and lots more on Barrow Square from 1pm until 5pm, and in St Joseph’s Church until 7pm.

We will be teaching and helping people design and build new stalls for the market in St Joseph’s Church on Saturday 21st & Saturday 28th of July and on Saturday 4th & Saturday 11th of August from 2pm to 4pm. Our workshops are free and suitable for adults and young people (12 years and older) of all abilities: from complete novice DIYers to seasoned experts.

Book your free place by emailing us at, calling us at 079 35869241 or contacting us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

The market is organised by Sailortown Regeneration Group and Household, in partnership with Clanmil Housing Association, Moving On Music, The American Bar, New Lodge Arts Festival, and other local businesses. It is funded by Belfast City Council and Clanmil Housing Association.
